Aug. 1--In an era of increasingly bigger, plusher and pricier sport-utilities with all the comforts once found only in luxury sedans, it's somehow comforting to a manufacturer offering a basically simple, no-frills vehicle that works: Suzuki's Sidekick Sport.
Priced at a relatively piddling $20,399, the Sidekick Sport comes with many of the amenities found in sport-utilities costing twice as much. It's just that the Sidekick Sport's features are far from being plush.
Still, the test Sport JLX, option-free and with a bottom line of $20,829, had more than enough equipment to serve as a serviceable daily driver. It also ...
