Honda Motor Co. has stopped producing motorcycles at its plant in Marysville, Ohio, shifting all of its production to an updated facility in Japan. Honda announced last year that it intended to stop producing motorcycles in the United States, and start importing them from Japan. The new plant in Japan "has much higher capacity and it is closer to where motorcycles are engineered," says Honda of America Manufacturing spokesman Ron Lietzke. The new plant will allow for faster motorcycle development because "it will be easier and more efficient to implement new technologies in the product and in manufacturing."
