My friend Dan faced bowhunting's ultimate dilemma last season. According to Dan's story, the buck had seven points to a side and all of them were long--a serious heart-stopper the likes of which my buddy may never see again. The big whitetail had walked straight in to a grunt call, stopped and then swapped ends in one easy motion. With that, he walked dead away, and Dan's initial excitement at seeing the monster approach turned to panic.
