DENVER, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Archangel Diamond Corporation (the "Corporation") (Vancouver: AAD) announced today that it has formally filed a request for international arbitration proceedings with the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce seeking the immediate transfer of the Verkhotina mining and exploration license (the "License") from its Russian joint venture partner, Arkhangelskgeoldobycha ("AGD") to Almazny Bereg ("AB"), a Russian international joint stock company. The Corporation has named as respondents in this action AGD, its controlling shareholders and a subsidiary company.
