Appraiser John Hays of Christie's couldn't help himself: A guest brought in a pair of chaps, so he tried them on. They turned up in Omaha, Neb., during a 2004 Antiques Roadshow event, accompanied by the elk- and moosee-antler chair pictured below. The large size of the elk, as illustrated by his antlers (the "legs" of the chair) helps make the chair valuable: $6,000-$9,000. As for the chaps, or "woolies" (shown folded and placed in the chair), they're worth around $1,000.
