Aug. 10--Henry Ford introduced the Model T in 1908 -- 90 years ago -- and America fell in love with the automobile. It was neither a chaste, decorous romance nor a one-night stand. This affair was an unrestrained passion that spanned decades and generations.
The car that started it all was not a graceful temptress. It was ugly, ungainly, uncomfortable and devoid of frills or fancy. But buyers didn't care.
