Dynavax Technologies Corp., La Jolla, California, announced a royalty-bearing cross-license agreement with Vical, Inc. that grants each company exclusive, worldwide fights to combine the other firm's patented technology for DNA immunization with its own in developing products for the prevention or treatment of certain diseases.
Each firm retains full rights to its own technology when it is not used in conjunction with that covered by the other company's patents.
Under the cross-licensing agreement, Dynavax gains access to certain Vical patents covering DNA immunization for Dynavax's use in the fields of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. Similarly, Vical ...
