ENFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 20, 1998--Disney characters will be introduced to the fun world of LEGO DUPLO and LEGO SYSTEM brand construction toys next year, it was announced today by the LEGO Group and Disney Consumer Products.

The initial range of LEGO Disney construction toys - seven LEGO DUPLO boxes for children aged two to five years, based upon Winnie the Pooh - will be launched in June 1999 for sale around the world. In addition, the LEGO Group may develop construction toys involving Mickey Mouse and his friends and other Disney characters in the future.
