Effective Methyl Bromide Alternative Expands into World Agriculture Marketplace

TOKYO -- Arysta LifeScience today announced Japan has granted commercial registration for YOKAFUME([R]), a broad-spectrum soil fumigant based on iodoemethane and marketed as MIDAS([R]) in the United States. YOKAFUME([R])effectively controls a broad range of soil-borne diseases, nematodes, weed seeds and insects that threaten high-value crops and is approved for soil use for tomatoes, melons and commodity fumigation of chestnuts. An expansion of the label to include ginger and myoga is expected in 2010.
