Ed Martinez is the president and CEO of San Ysidro Health Center. He was recruited by the SYI-IC board more than 10 years ago to implement the major financial and organizational turnaround of a well-established community health center confronted with high management turnover, potential loss of federal funding and approximately $3.1 million in short term liabilities.
