Taipei, Oct. 15, 2009 (CENS)--The top-four thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panel manufacturers in Taiwan have announced operation results for September, in which only AU Optronics Corp. (AUO), the No. 1 player on the island, saw month-on-month (MoM) revenue increase.

AUO registered revenue of NT$41.1 billion (US$1.26 billion at US$1: NT$31.9) last month, up 8.9% MoM. The company shipped 9.38 million large-sized (over 10-inch) and 23.6 million small/medium-sized panels during the period.

Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp. (CMO), the second-largest on the island, had September revenue of 30.2 billion (US$928 million), down 1.5% MoM. The ...
