Various insurer trade associations and the employer coalition Californians for Compensation Reform are calling for a legislative review of the consistency with which judges apply the workers compensation law. The move was prompted by the decision of an Orange County Superior Court judge to dismiss the workers compensation fraud charges against Dr Edward Boseker. The California Division of Workers Compensation and the chairman of the Workers Compensation Appeals Board believe that the ruling is anomalous and is not expected to be repeated.
