Governor George E. Pataki has announced additional development totaling $65 million at New Rochelle Center, the cornerstone of New Rochelle's downtown revitalization, bringing the total project value to $170 million. The New Rochelle Center project will create 860 construction jobs, followed by 1,325 permanent jobs.
The additions include a third level of 100,000 square feet of leasable space to the sports/entertainment/retail center; a 100,000 square-foot hotel; a 90,000-square-foot office building; and an additional two levels of parking, bringing the total to seven levels and 2,380 spaces.
