Options for Initial Production Orders Could Bring Total Value of Contract to
$127 Million Through 2004
MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Alliant Techsystems (NYSE: ATK) said its Conventional Munitions Group has been awarded a $30 million contract from the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., for engineering and manufacturing development of the Army's next-generation 120mm armor-piercing tank ammunition round.
If exercised, options for low-rate production of the M829E3 round and two subsequent production orders could bring the total value of the contract to $127 million ...
