COLONIE -- Continental Airlines today joins Star Alliance, giving members of its OnePass frequent flier program the opportunity to earn miles on flights operated by United Airlines, US Airways and Air Canada, among others.
But they no longer will get mileage credit for their flights on Delta or Northwest, which Delta has acquired. And members of the Delta SkyMiles program no longer will earn credit on Continental flights.
At Albany, the switch will likely lead to Continental flight numbers on aircraft operated by the other Star Alliance carriers.
