Framingham, MA-based CUMBERLAND FARMS INC. was issued a warning letter on Sept. 11 after an investigation of the company's seafood processing facility on June 30 and July 6. The investigation found serious violations of the seafood Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point regulations. Accordingly, the company's refrigerated, ready to eat, modified atmosphere packaged tuna fish sandwiches were adulterated, in that they were prepared, packed, or held under unsanitary conditions whereby they may have been rendered injurious to health.
