Alticor, the $8 billion parent company of Amway Corp. and Amway Global, and Metagenics, a leading manufacturer and distributor of medical foods and nutraceutical products marketed to health-care professionals, announced this summer that they have entered into a joint venture agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, Alticor will obtain a substantial ownership interest in Metagenics, and current Metagenics shareholders will continue to retain a significant interest in the company. Detailed terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
