Ellerbe Becket, the Twin Cities largest architectural firm, has been sold to a Los Angeles company for an undisclosed amount.
The buyer is AECOM Technology Corp., a Fortune 500 company with more than 44,000 employees and about $6.1 billion in revenue. AECOM (NYSE: ACM) provides technical-support services, including planning for building projects. It also has a management-consulting division.
AECOM's stock was up $1.30 per share, or about 5 percent, to $26.88 in mid-morning trading Monday.
The acquisition will allow Ellerbe Becket to offer a wider range of services to its clients than it does now, said Jon Buggy, ...
