GEORGIOS SAMARAS has entered the debate over the quality of squad Gordon Strachan left behind at Celtic by backing his team-mates of the last three seasons.

Strachan told Record Sport he was rubbishing suggestions Tony Mowbray made about the standard of player he'd inherited and the present manager's possible need for 10 new recruits.
