Anglers have been enjoying fabulous trout sport at Ravensthorpe Reservoir, with the fish active and feeding in clear water and an impressive rod average of over five.
Even in match conditions, the fish seem happy to feed - Mid Northants Trout Fishers held an early Fur and Feather at the weekend with 22 anglers catching 89 fish up to 6lb 8oz, for an average of four. However, most of the fish are fin-perfect and there are lots in the 4-6lb bracket.
