IT is where they recorded their hit song A Bunch of Thyme. But yesterday Foster and Allen were left staring at the charred remains of their recording studio which has been badly damaged by fire.

Flames ripped through Roseland House, in Moate, Co. Westmeath, on Tuesday evening, destroying the roof and considerably damaging the rest of the building. Tony Allen, who, with Mick Foster topped the charts in 1978, said: 'Pretty much the whole building is destroyed. It will have to be knocked, the walls are all cracked.
