WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE from one 1911 to the next? It's the quality of the components that go into the gun--the better the parts, the better the gun. In addition, if the parts are fit well, the gun will run with greater reliability, so the skill of the person assembling the gun will be a factor in the quality of the end product.
And in my opinion, no one makes better 1911s than Americans, so I was looking forward to trying the new 1911 from DoubleStar Corporation--a Kentucky-based gun maker long known as a manufacturer of quality AR15 guns and components.
