EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
THE 25 largest temporary placement firms in L.A. County generated $586 million in revenue from local operations during 2008. That was down 4 percent compared with 2007.
Most firms listed saw slight declines in revenue. No firm reported a drop of more than 10 percent from 2007 to 2008.
The temporary staffing industry as a whole saw fewer employees hired to fill jobs during the year. According to national statistics provided by the American Staffing Association, employers hired an average of 2.7 million temporary workers daily in 2008, an 8 percent drop from 2007.
