* EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
TUE 25 largest commercial interior design firms operating in Los Angeles County reported $155 million in local billings for 2008. That's down $5 million or 3 percent from 2007.
Combined revenue for the firms on the list dropped for the first time in five years as they coped with a slowdown in work due to the economy. However, major construction programs such as the L.A. Unified School District's $20 billion school construction program and a multibillion program for Los Angeles Community Colleges have kept firms in business.
