Los Angeles County is home to more than 90 different chambers of commerce representing geographic communities and ethnic groups. The Business Journal ranks the 25 largest chambers by their 2009 budgets. The combined budgets of the 25 largest chambers of commerce in L.A. County is $27 million, down $3 million from a year ago.
Some chambers have seen budgets fall due to small membership decreases from a year ago. That results in lower income for chambers, most of which rely on dues to support their operations.
