29 October 2009 - Finnish sports equipment maker Amer Sports Oyj (HEL: AMEAS) said today that it swung to a net loss of EUR5.2m for the first nine months of 2009 versus a net profit of EUR16.3m for the same period a year ago.
The net sales decreased to EUR1.05bn from EUR1.08bn and the gross profit to EUR423.5m from EUR448.7m. The operating profit contracted to EUR4.4m from EUR43.7m. The company moved to a pretax loss of EUR6.9m versus a profit of EUR21.7m and to a loss per share of EUR0.11 versus EPS of EUR0.22.
