A thorough shake-up of both its machine ranges and the way it builds them is underway at Husky. In the past two or three years it has seen its niche markets - traditionally, thinwall containers and more latterly PET preforms - under attack from more generally-based machine makers having the benefits of bigger production volumes and so lower scale costs and inevitably cheaper machines.
