Shirley Garrison is the second recipient of the Dr. Kenneth Hood Award from the Arlington Heights Senior Citizens Commission.
Garrison coordinates the older adult ministries for Our SaviourAEs Lutheran Church.
She took on this volunteer position after retiring from 25 years at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, where she received the centerAEs first Legend of Leadership Award.
