Affymetrix Inc., (NASDAQ:AFFX) reported its operating results for the third quarter of 2009. Total revenue for the quarter was $78.2 million, as compared to total revenue of $75.2 million in the third quarter of 2008. In constant currency terms, the third quarter of 2009 was negatively impacted by $1.2 million as compared to the third quarter of 2008 (see also Affymetrix Inc.).
Product revenue was $66.2 million, which consisted of consumable revenue of $62.0 million and instrument revenue of $4.2 million. Service revenue was $9.9 million, and royalties and other revenue were $2.1 million. This compares to third quarter 2008 product revenue of $66.0 million, ...
