NEC has improved on its popular desktop laser printer's proven features and performance
The NEC SuperScript 870 is meant to be NEC Technologies' replacement for its popular SuperScript 860 personal laser printer, and it succeeds beyond the average upgrade. It delivers sharp black text and more than 128 levels of gray at 8 pages per minute. NEC is aiming the SuperScript870 at the small-workgroup and SOHO markets, and will likely hit its target: The SuperScript 870 is estimated at $349, which is about $80 less than the Lexmark Optra E+ and competitive with the HP LaserJet 6L.
