The survey, sponsored by Virgin Media and conducted by Future Laboratory, showed that the leading cause of anxiety over not being online (35% of respondents) was the inability to stay in touch with family. However, a surprisingly high 25% of respondents reported stress when unable to access online maps. Virgin Media's Chief Operating Officer Mark Schweitzer commented that the study shows that a "significant" number of people experience increased peace of mind when they are always connected. ...
