As many companies plan to return to growth in 2010, there's increased demand on IT organizations for greater transparency and accountability, which is changing the way trust is established, risk assessed, and reputation is maintained, according to Gartner, Inc.
During the opening keynote today at Gartner Symposium/ITxpo, being held here through October 22, Gartner analysts said very few IT leaders will receive budget increases in 2010. The "mend and make do" approach that allowed companies to survive the last 12 months will continue. However, they said this does not mean business as usual.
