Before the Halloween season developed into the mammoth retail and entertainment spending season that it has become, Haunted Hayrides of Delaware Valley, Inc. took the Delaware Valley area by storm in October, 1990, as the area's first large production, regionally marketed, outdoor, Halloween Season event.
"To get started, we actually purchased a franchise license from Haunted Hayrides, Inc. in Syracuse, New York," reports local founder, Tom Yaegel.
