Signet Solar and BSC-Solar announced that they are jointly developing a 1.8 MW solar power plant in the Czech Republic, located in the Blikovice region, South Moravia near the Austrian border. Signet Solar will supply single junction silicon thin film solar photovoltaic modules totaling 1.8 MW for the entire project.
The installation of the solar farm is set to start by end of October, 2009. BSC-Solar will construct the solar photovoltaic farm on five hectares of land using an estimated 20,000 single junction silicon thin film modules.
