The IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation (CEDA) will host a luncheon presentation titled, "Smart Grid for the 21st Century," by Byron Washom of the University of California, San Diego, during the International Conference on Computer-Aided Design (ICCAD).
Washom's presentation will be held Tuesday, November 3, at noon in the Sierra Ballroom at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose, Calif. He will offer a look at UC San Diego's pioneering projects to meet 20% of its supply from renewable energy, accomplish 20% permanent load shifting through energy storage, and reduce its demand through C3 technologies.
