Denmark-based Babcock & Wilcox Volund A/S (B&W Volund), a subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc. (B&W PGG), has been awarded a contract by Indaver Group Ireland to supply waste-to-energy combustion technology for a power plant project in Meath, Ireland. B&W PGG is a major operating unit of The Babcock & Wilcox Company.
B&W Volund will design and supply a VolundSystems™ waste-fired boiler for the 20 MW plant - Ireland's first municipal waste-to-energy facility.
