Global Aviation Holdings, Inc., parent company of World Airways and North American Airlines, has been named a Commodore sponsor of the Commissioning Committee for the upcoming commissioning of the USS New York. The Commissioning Committee is a non-profit group formally designated to fund and organize events surrounding the commissioning of the U.S. Navy's newest ship in New York City on Nov. 7, 2009.
