The swine flu vaccine is in short supply but some University at Albany students will get the jab this week.
Many medical workers in the area have already received the H1N1 vaccine, which is coveted because the number of doses available is far below what the federal government originally promised. Today and tomorrow, students at the University at Albany will be getting it as well in two clinics at the Campus Center Ballroom.
Students had to pre-register for the shots and pay $15. The university has seen about 150 to 200 students out with influenza-like illness since the beginning of the school year. It will distribute 1,400 flu shots at the clinics.
