The dirt racing season continued last weekend with shows at the Black Rock Speedway in Dundee and Hagerstown Speedway in Maryland. Plus, a longtime dirt facility ran its first asphalt race since the 1970s to begin a new era in the capital district.
A hard rain greeted race teams at Black Rock Speedway Saturday morning, and for a while it looked as if things would have to be pushed to Sunday. But with more than 180 teams ready to race, track officials decided to wait out the rain and do what they had to do to get the show in.
