Sinopec, Atyrau Refinery sign contract to build aromatic hydrocarbons plant
ALMATY. Oct 29 (Interfax) - China's Sinopec Engineering will build an aromatic hydrocarbons plant at the Atyrau refinery in western Kazakhstan). Sinopec Engineering and Atyrau Refinery LLP signed the contract on Thursday in Atyrau. The investments in the project will reach $1.04 billion. The project will be implemented in 2009-2013.
Sinopec Engineering will be a strategic partner of the project and the principal contractor for the construction.
The project is part of the Program for Development of the Petrochemical Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2008-2013.
