Inflation in Russia this year might be just over 8%, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said in St. Petersburg on Sunday.
"We are trying to reduce inflation to 8%-9%. This year it might be a little over 8%," he said at the Russian-Finnish summit on the forest products industry.
Inflation must be lowered further to 5%-6% in coming years, Putin said.
