When dealing with the Alaska king and snow crab markets, it's all a matter of supply and demand--and science. Managed as a sustainable resource, quotas for king (Paralithodes camtschaticus) and snow (Chionoecetes opilio) crabs often dictate where the market will go concerning price and availability.
