NEW YORK -- The oral care business is a huge one for mass retailers, but it is also mature, with household penetration high and growth prospects comparatively low. But many suppliers believe that niche products that are innovative and unique still offer viable opportunities for growth.
Majestic Drug Co., for example, has a roster of products that includes Sword Floss Proxi-Plus (a disposable device with a flosser on one end and a proxi-brush on the other) and Dentool Jr. (two stainless steel dental instruments in one compact unit).
