THE expenses claimed by chastened Assembly Members were yesterday published on-line for public scrutiny.
Welsh politics was plunged into crisis last year when it was revealed AMs had used taxpayers' money to purchase items including iPods, a trouser press and a television costing more than pounds 1,000.
The latest expense claims appear to show a more frugal culture has taken root in Cardiff Bay. Wales' 60 AMs claimed pounds 441,171.92 between April and July - pounds 37,538.66 less than in the same period last year.
