Business leaders attending the Central Upstate Manufacturing Breakfast Thursday expressed tepid optimism about the end of the recession.
"We're not out of it yet," Randall Wolken, president of the Manufacturing Association of Central New York, said.
Yet, "we're hearing good news," he said at the breakfast, sponsored by the association.
After months of job cuts, factory employment has stabilized and orders have picked up, he said.
