LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 1998--A lawsuit filed last week by Pizza Hut in federal district court in Dallas against Papa John's International is "frivolous and simply a public relations stunt," according to Papa John's Founder and Chief Executive Officer John H. Schnatter. "Papa John's is hurting Pizza Hut in the marketplace so they've turned to the courts as a last resort. When all else fails, sue."
The lawsuit is the third such attempt by Pizza Hut during the last nine months to have Papa John's advertising declared deceptive and misleading. Pizza Hut was unsuccessful in two similar claims against Papa John's made earlier this year with the ...
