Article: FDA's Reportable Food Registry launched online.(AFFI's Washington Watch)

The Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Reportable Food Registry--the internet portal through which the agency will receive reports of adulterated food--was implemented on September 8.

All food facilities manufacturing, processing, packing or holding food/feed for human or animal consumption in the U.S. must be registered with the FDA.

Beginning today, the person who submits a food facility's registration information to FDA is required to file a registry report when there is reason to believe that an adulterated food/feed produced, held, or packed by the facility will cause serious adverse health ...
