TEAMS who played in the County Cup had mixed fortunes. Blyth Comrades went down away to Lynemouth FC 5-0. Burradon went through to the next round after beating Billy Mill for the second time this season by 4-2. Ashington RAOB will have to wait for their game which was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
In the Saints Shield second round, the local derby between the Northern and Ashington Mortimer went the way of the Mortimer. They beat the Northern 2-1 in a very tight game.
