Roger J. Donahue of Barnstable, a retired Superior Court justice and World War II veteran, died Wednesday at his home after a brief illness. He was 86.
Born in Boston, he lived in Dover before moving to Barnstable several years ago.
He graduated from St. Raphael's School in Hyde Park in 1937, Milton Academy/Dublin School in 1941, Harvard College in 1947 and Harvard Law School in 1949.
Mr. Donahue joined the Army in 1942, initially enlisting in the infantry, then joining the Army Air Forces.
He started as an aviation cadet, was promoted to flight officer and then assigned to a B-24 bomber as a navigator.
