Canadian Hydro Developers Inc (KHD.TO) terminated an agreement to acquire a 4,400 megawatt offshore wind prospect, Canada's largest renewable energy company said on Thursday.

The prospect is in one of the Great Lakes bordering the province of Ontario and is owned by Wasatch Wind Inc, a private U.S.-based renewable energy company.
